1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small values stored by a browser and sent with certain requests. Local storage keeps data in the browser without sending it automatically. Cache storage allows the PassFlag web app to retain application files for faster loading and offline relaunch.
2. Technologies PassFlag uses
| Technology | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk authentication cookies | Sign-in, session continuity, fraud prevention, and account security. | Session-based or according to the configured account session. |
passflag_active_organization | Remembers the organization workspace you selected. | Up to one year. |
| PassFlag browser storage | Stores guest Decks, equipment details, sample results, and unfinished drafts on the device. | Until cleared, replaced, or removed through an available control. |
| Service worker cache | Stores the application shell and static files for performance and offline relaunch. | Until replaced by a newer cache or cleared in browser settings. |
Clerk and infrastructure partners may also use cookies that are necessary to deliver and protect authentication services. Cookie names and durations can change as those providers update their security systems.
3. No advertising or analytics cookies
As of this policy’s effective date, PassFlag does not set advertising cookies or analytics cookies for behavioral tracking. Because the current cookies and storage are used for requested functionality and security, PassFlag does not display a cookie-consent banner. If we introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and add consent or preference controls before setting them where required.
4. Your controls
- Sign out to end the active account session.
- Use available PassFlag reset or discard controls to remove guest records and drafts.
- Clear cookies, site data, local storage, and cache through your browser settings.
- Block cookies through your browser, although sign-in and workspace features may stop working.
